PS5 expected features
At this point, we cannot say anything about features that we can expect. One possible change in PS5 is to drop optical drive. This will make the design more compact and more space and power to place higher spec processing and graphics units. We can expect a cloud-based gameplay in near future. Actually, we don’t know whether it will happen or not in the case of PS5. But is more difficult to get rid of disc drive completely for Sony.
Can we expect a new DualShock controller in the new version? The answer will be, we have to wait and watch. They brought many new changes for PS4 dual shock controller and it is used in the Pro version also. But when it comes to next version we can expect some big change in DualShock controller too.
When it comes to Visual reality we can expect something interesting for PS5. Sony will develop an enhanced version of virtual reality for PS5. The changes they can bring in VR is improved movements, better control, good visuals and improved tracking. We can expect something new in VR field from Sony for its next version.
PS4 Pro is developed to work on 4K TV’s. But the target of 4K gaming experience is not yet achieved. This would be the best thing everyone expects on. PS4 cannot give the real 4K gaming experience as the resolution will be less. So according to Chris Kingsley CTO and Co-founder of developer rebellion says that “obviously new hardware should be able to support 4K TVs and possibly even 8K TVs at a push”.
The quality of PS5 games will also differ from others. Real-time ray tracing is the most anticipating technology. The game developers are trying to reduce the distance between real and virtual world. So, we can see a significant change in the whole game design for PS5. From last game release for PS4 itself, we can understand the standard of the games they are going to present. So, everyone is waiting for PS5 games soon.
Backward compatibility is another thing everyone expects from PS5. When they released PS4 they couldn’t manage backup compatibility. Actually, this time they should make it correct and give the chance to play all PS4 games on PS5 after doing slight improvements or updates.
According to Sony, they say “the future of play station is up to developers. If they still feel that they need a powerful machine, we want to realize that but, we cannot do it with PS4. There is a good reason to have the PS5 so developers can create their versions”, said Yoshida. When competitors try the new version, we can also expect something new from Sony also.
